Taipei--The Ministry of Education said that as of Monday morning 162 schools nationwide have reported damage after days of torrential rain.
Among the 162 schools that suffered damage, 42 are in New Taipei, 33 in Taipei and 27 in Nantou County.
Losses are tentatively estimated at NT$63.72 million (US$2.12 million). In terms of cities and counties, New Taipei suffered losses of NT$20.32 million, Keelung City NT$14.19 million and Yunlin County NT$10.84 million.
