The Central Investigation Police (CIB) has compiled the faces of 6 scammers who dress up like police officers and make video calls via Line, deceiving victims into believing they are involved in money laundering or drug cases, sending various fake documents to trick victims into believing them, and then dressing up like police officers to video call the victims to trick them into believing that they will interrogate them or press charges. They will then have the victims transfer money to the scammers for veri fication to confirm their innocence, and then the scammers will disappear with the money.The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) would like to remind you that real police officers will not do these 3 things: 1. There will be no contact via Line or video call to question or inform of charges. 2. There will be no request for victims to transfer money or property for examination to confirm their innocence. 3. There will be no sending of official documents via Line, such as summons or arrest warrants.
