A group of former big-name Senate candidates filed a complaint against the Election Commission for organizing a dishonest vote.

Bangkok, A group of former big-name Senate candidates filed a complaint against the EC Secretary-General and seven members of the EC Board under Section 32 and Section 157 for organizing the Senate vote in an unfair and unjust manner after the results were announced.

A group of former Senate candidates led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Khamrob Panyakaew, former assistant to the national police chief and former Senator candidate in the legal group, and his team traveled to file a complaint with the EC secretary and 7 EC committee members at the Crime Suppression Division regarding the failure to organize the Senate election vote to be honest and fair. The announcement of the results of the 1st to 10th place votes of all 200 groups yesterday and ordering them to report to the parliament, which violates Section 32 of the Senate Organic Act and Section 157 of the Act on Malfeasance.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamrob stated that today he saw the dishonesty and unfairness in the selection of the senators, so he came to file a complaint wi
th the EC, all 7 of them. He also noted that Mr. Sa-wang Boonmee, the EC secretary-general, held a press conference to certify the results yesterday, saying that he may not have been well prepared because he kept going around in circles. In the press conference to clarify the complaint about the qualifications, the EC explained in a way that it was like throwing the responsibility to the district level. He thought that if the EC were to ask for cooperation from anyone in the future, it would be difficult if they shirk responsibility like this.

As for the complaints about the 47 cases of dishonest and unfair voting, which the EC stated that it had collected evidence, but the information as of today is not enough to say that he committed an offense, and that it will require forensic evidence and waiting for other relevant agencies to join in the investigation to resolve the matter, does this mean that you were not aware of the initial verification of all 47 cases? And then you concluded your statement at the e
nd that the previous process of selecting the senators was an honest and fair vote, and then announced the certification, which is seen as contradictory to the investigation that is still pending for the other 47 cases, which are waiting for the results of the investigation from the relevant agencies, but you cited the law to announce first and then investigate later, so it falls under the category of offense under Section 157.

The reason for filing a complaint is because of seeing irregularities in the selection of the senators. He believes that the numbers obtained were vote-rigging. In the announcement of the scores of each group, the selection was the same according to the cheat sheet. Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamrob showed a sample cheat sheet to the media and stated that this cheat sheet came from the same process. The 4 cheat sheets will cover the same numbers. In the past, he had filed a complaint to the EC and asked a total of 5 times, but they did not listen. Instead, they announced the results. Therefore, he
thought that it was time to file a complaint because it was considered an offense under Section 32 for not making the senator selection process honest and fair.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Kamrob also stated that while the announcement was being made, copies of the documents were sent via Line, which made him notice that some of them did not have signatures. He therefore checked as a former forensic officer and verified the signature of the EC chairman. He would like to ask this matter to be asked whether the EC chairman actually signed or if there was a false signature. If there was a false signature, he asked for correction of this matter because the two signatures did not match.

Meanwhile, this afternoon, I will travel to the Supreme Court to seek protection that the EC did not perform its duty to organize the voting to be honest and fair. I would like to request emergency protection and an order to open the ballot boxes because it is the key to proving the whole story.
