Asian Games: Taiwan grabs two more gold medals

Taipei, Taiwan took two more gold medals at the 2018 Jakata-Palembang Asian Games in Indonesia on Monday, bringing the country's haul of golds to 11 in the games as of 6:00 p.m.

Taiwan grabbed gold in the men's 1,000-meter dragon boat race with a time of 4:31.185, following a gold seized by the team a day earlier in the men's 500-meter dragon boat with a time of 2:11.691.

Chen Yi-hsuan (???) and Pan Yu-pin (???) jointly won another gold medal in the mixed team compound archery final, edging out South Korea 151-150.

On Monday, Taiwan won three gold medals in team competitions.

Earlier in the day, Taiwan defeated South Korea 5-3 in the final of the recurve men's team event, grabbing its first archery gold at the regional sports event.

Taiwan now ranks sixth in the medal standing, with a total of 11 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze medals.
