Paris, June 9 (CNA) Taiwanese tennis player Chan Yung-jan (???) and Martina Hingis of Switzerland lost in the women's doubles semifinals at the French Open in Paris on Friday.
Chan and Hingis were defeated 6-4, 6-2 by the top-seeded Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States and Lucie Safarova of the Czechia.
In an interview after the game, Chan described the experience playing against world's No. 1 pairing as "very good," saying that it allowed her to see what she needs to do to improve.
The Chan-Hingis pairing have won three women's doubles titles, in Indian Wells, Madrid and Rome, since becoming partners in February this year.
This was the first time Chan reached the semifinals in the women's doubles at the French Open.
