Taipei: Taiwan's China Airlines (CAL) on Wednesday unveiled the country's first Disney-themed aircraft, featuring a special livery and onboard items with characters from the upcoming animated film Zootopia 2. The unveiling ceremony took place at Taoyuan International Airport, where CAL Chairman Kao Shing-hwang highlighted the plane's primary route from Taoyuan to Los Angeles. Other planned destinations include Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, and Ontario, California.

According to Focus Taiwan, the plane's maiden flight with its new look is scheduled to depart Taoyuan for Los Angeles at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday. Beyond the aircraft's exterior, the airline has integrated Zootopia 2 characters into its onboard experience, with themed items such as headrest covers and snack packaging.

CAL President Kevin Chen announced that the special livery would be in service for six months, with further collaborations with Disney anticipated. This initiative aims to attract a younger demographic of air travelers. Zootopia 2 is set to premiere in Taiwan on November 26, according to Disney.
