CNA President and Taiwan TV Host Win Prestigious Awards at Asian Television Awards.

Taipei: Central News Agency President Anne Hu Wan-ling and Hakka TV's program host Lo I-li have been honored with accolades at this year's Asian Television Awards for their exceptional contributions to television program presentation.According to Focus Taiwan, Anne Hu, who previously served as vice president at Formosa TV News (FTV), was awarded the Best Current Affairs Presenter accolade. This recognition came as a result of her exclusive interview with former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for FTV's program "News Observation." Hu attended the award ceremony in Indonesia on Friday evening to receive her accolade, where she expressed gratitude to her former employer FTV and shared her achievement with CNA. Hu, who took on the role of CNA president on November 1, described the accolade as a significant milestone marking her new position with the agency. This is Hu's second recognition by the Singapore-based Asian Television Awards, having previously won in 2010 for leading a team on a program about Nor th Korea following the sinking of the ROKS Cheonan.In addition to Hu's success, Taiwan's Lo I-li was awarded Best Talk Show Host for her work on Hakka TV's "Uncommon Cuts." The docuseries, which explores personal stories across Taiwan, aims to draw public attention to often-overlooked issues such as mental health and the environment. In a statement from Hakka TV, Lo expressed her hope that the show would inspire viewers to engage with these critical topics.Meanwhile, Taiwan Plus' "The Taipei Tonight Show" received the Best Talk Show award. The English interview-based variety program includes engaging discussions between the host and guests, along with interactive games, further showcasing Taiwan's dynamic contributions to the television industry.
