The Taoyuan City government on Wednesday released a list of locations, including banks and restaurants, visited by 10 domestic COVID-19 cases recently reported in the city.
The 10 cases are among 42 linked to Taoyuan International Airport that have been recorded since Jan. 3.
The locations were visited by the 10 individuals between Dec. 29 and Jan. 9, and are in Taoyuan’s Dayuan, Taoyuan, Guishan, Bade, Zhongli, and Yangmei districts.
They include restaurants, supermarkets, night markets, and a karaoke club, which CNA has detailed using Google Maps, embedded below.
Of particular note is that one of the cases visited a branch of the Union Bank of Taiwan located on Jianxing Road in Taoyuan’s Zhongli District. Three employees at the branch tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The 27 other employees at the branch are now in quarantine, according to Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan (???).
The branch was closed Wednesday for disinfection, though it will reopen on Thursday as personnel from other branches have been assigned to work there, for the time being, the bank said.
The city government has set up a COVID-19 testing station at Dongxing Community Center on Zhongbei Road, which will offer free tests from 2-5 p.m. daily between Thursday and Saturday, Cheng said.
Cheng called on people who had visited the bank between Jan. 4 and Jan. 12 to get tested.
Others who have been to any of the locations listed by the city government should also get tested if they develop COVID-19 symptoms, he added.
New case in Taipei
Meanwhile, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Wednesday evening that a nurse who works at a hospital in Taipei had tested positive for COVID-19 during routine testing of hospital employees.
More details of the case will be announced at Thursday’s press briefing, the CECC said.
