Taipei, A popular tourist attraction in Tainan known as the "Crystal Church" will soon be made available for couples to hold wedding ceremonies, the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Administration announced Monday.
According to the administration, the structure has passed a city safety inspection and an operating license has been awarded to a private company that will promote the site to newlyweds.
The Crystal Church, a solitary artistic structure that opened in Beimen District in October 2014, has been popular as a backdrop for photos but visitors have not been allowed to get close to it or go inside.
It is hoped that opening it to wedding ceremonies will help it become a new hotspot for wedding planners, the administration said.
