Taipei--The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) suffered a loss of NT$90,000 (US$2,984) in a burglary of its headquarters in Taipei on Wednesday, but its files and equipment remained intact, the party said in a statement Friday.
Surveillance footage showed that a man infiltrated the 8th floor of the building for approximately 10 minutes and left without taking any files, computers or equipment, the DPP said.
The case was reported to the police upon discovery of the theft and is now currently being investigated, according to the statement.
The DPP headquarters is located in the Huashan Business Building on 30 Beiping East Road in Taipei.
