Taipei, Eight winning invoices in the uniform lottery for the September-October period, valued at NT$10 million (US$323,930) each, have not yet been claimed, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Saturday, urging the winners to claim their prizes before the March 5 deadline.
The eight invoices, issued in September and October, all bear the winning number 96363025, the ministry said.
The receipts were issued in Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Changhua and Kaohsiung, for items ranging from NT$54-worth of stationery items to two packs of cigarettes worth NT$180, according to the ministry.
The most expensive item paid for was a household water bill costing NT$596, with the receipt issued by the Tamsui branch of the Taiwan Water Corp.
The ministry said there was also one outstanding receipt with the number 69095110, which carries a NT$2 million prize.
That invoice was issued at a convenience store in Taoyuan.
Beginning Jan. 1 this year, winners of the Taiwan receipt lottery can redeem cash prizes at a total of 13,000 locations across the nation, including units of The First Commercial Bank, Chang Hwa Bank, Agricultural Bank of Taiwan, credit cooperatives, credit departments of farmers' and fishermen's associations and convenience stores, according to the MOF.
The Taiwan Post Office ended its redemption service for receipt lottery winners at the end of last year.
The winning uniform invoice numbers for November and December will be released Jan. 25.
