The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) said Saturday that the local stock market will open on Sept. 28 although it is a public holiday.
The equity market will also be open on two public holidays in October, the TWSE said.
In Taiwan, Sept. 28 is designated as Teachers' Day, Oct. 25 is Taiwan Restoration Day, and Oct. 31 marks the birthday of late President Chiang Kai-shek.
The TWSE, which runs the local main board, said stock deliveries will be conducted as usual on the three public holidays and the banking sector will operate normally.
