Taiwan's exports in November are expected to post double-digit year-on-year growth thanks to an economic recovery in the second half of this year, Minister of Finance Sheu Yu-jer (???) said Wednesday.
Speaking at a hearing before the Finance Committee of the Legislative Yuan, Sheu said the growth rate in the month will be higher than the 9.4 percent posted in October, although in the first 11 months of the year, Taiwan's exports were still down 3.1 percent from a year earlier.
While November exports could surge in double digit figures, the growth rate will be less than 15 percent, according to Sheu.
Sheu made the comments before the Ministry of Finance is scheduled to release its import and export statistics later in the day.
