Taipei:Five customers who shopped at 7-Eleven stores across Taiwan have won the NT$10 million (US$318,123) special prize in the July-August uniform invoice lottery. One of the winners spent just NT$27 on photocopying.
According to Focus Taiwan, the winning purchases were made at 7-Eleven stores in Taoyuan, Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. These purchases included NT$29 on snacks in Taoyuan's Zhongli District, NT$27 on photocopying in Taipei's Zhongzheng District, and NT$139 on coffee and daily necessities in Taipei's Xinyi District. Other winning transactions were NT$100 on household items in Taichung's Wuqi District and NT$33 on ready-to-eat food in Kaohsiung's Fengshan District.
In addition to the special prize winners, two customers won the NT$2 million grand prize. These purchases were NT$149 on daily necessities and ice cream in Taipei's Neihu District, and NT$10 on photocopying in Taipei's Songshan District.
The NT$1 million prize for cloud invoices had four winners, who shopped in Keelung, Taoyuan, New Taipei, and Kaohsiung. Their purchases included NT$39 on snacks in Keelung's Qidu District, NT$213 on frozen food and other items in Taoyuan's Zhongli District, NT$58 on ready-to-eat food in New Taipei's Banqiao District, and NT$189 on daily necessities in Kaohsiung's Daliao District.
The Ministry of Finance revealed the winning numbers on September 25. The NT$10 million prize number is 89996565, the NT$2 million prize number is 91098182, and the first-prize numbers, each worth NT$200,000, are 54348835, 44991397, and 06595111. Winners can claim their prizes from October 6 to January 5, 2027.
The lottery, held bi-monthly, encourages consumers to request receipts and helps curb tax evasion.
