Taipei--Former Kuomintang (KMT) Legislator Pan Wei-kang (???) said Wednesday that she will officially announce her bid for the KMT chairmanship at a press conference scheduled to take place Friday.
In addition to making a statement on her KMT chairmanship bid during the press conference, Pan said she will call on all former KMT members and members who have not paid their party dues to immediately resume their memberships and vote in the party's chairmanship election on May 20.
Pan, 59, will be the sixth hopeful to enter the race after former Vice President Wu Den-yih (???), KMT Vice Chairman Hau Lung-bin (???), incumbent KMT Chairwoman Hung Hsiu-chu (???), former Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corp. (TAPMC) President Han Kuo-yu (???) and former KMT Vice Chairman Steve Chan (???).
