Taipei: Former martial arts actor Chang Chen-huan (???) has died at the age of 65. Chang's body was discovered on Friday when authorities responded to reports of a strong odor coming from a home in Taipei's Nangang District, according to police. Preliminary investigations have ruled out the involvement of another party in his passing, though details regarding the cause of death remain unclear.
According to Focus Taiwan, Chang rose to prominence in the Taiwanese movie scene following his debut in a 1976 fantasy film. The veteran actor became known for his action roles in fantasy films and television shows, particularly within the Chinese Wuxia genre. However, as he grew older, roles became scarce, leading to a decline in his career.
In recent years, concerns about Chang's emotional well-being emerged following accusations of domestic abuse, which resulted in his divorce. This personal turmoil was further compounded by a failed business venture after he attempted to shift careers.
