Taipei:Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also known as Foxconn, reported that its monthly sales exceeded NT$1 trillion (US$31.50 billion) for the first time in September. This milestone was largely driven by its cloud and networking division's performance amid the ongoing AI era.
According to Focus Taiwan, the company achieved NT$1.15 trillion in consolidated sales in September, marking a 38.42 percent increase from the previous year and a 25.70 percent rise from the previous month. This new record surpassed the earlier peak of NT$837.1 billion set in September 2025.
Year-on-year, Hon Hai experienced notable revenue growth from cloud and networking products, electronic components, and computing products. However, sales within the smart consumer electronics division remained relatively unchanged due to rising product prices affecting shipments.
On a month-to-month comparison, the smart electronics division showed a strong increase in revenue as international brands launched new products in September. Analysts noted that Hon Hai, an iPhone assembler, benefited significantly from Apple Inc.'s release of the iPhone 18 series.
In the third quarter, Hon Hai's consolidated sales reached an all-time quarterly high of NT$3.03 trillion, reflecting a 47.12 percent year-on-year increase and a 20.44 percent rise from the previous quarter. All four of the company's major business divisions reported robust growth during this period.
For the first nine months of the year, the company generated NT$7.67 trillion in consolidated sales, up 39.53 percent from the same period last year. Hon Hai anticipates that the current AI boom and the traditional peak season in the global information and communications technology industry will support its performance in the fourth quarter. However, the company cautioned investors to be mindful of the rapidly changing political and economic landscape that could impact demand.
At an investor conference in mid-August, Hon Hai's rotating CEO, Michael Chiang, projected that AI rack shipments in 2026 would more than double compared to 2025, with the company currently holding over 40 percent of the global AI server market.
