Two ticketing websites on Monday announced the Taiwan concert schedules of Dutch DJ Hardwell and South Korean girl group Mamamoo, who will perform in Taipei in December and Taoyuan in January, respectively.
Hardwell and Mamamoo will be the first solo and group modern pop music acts to perform in Taiwan since the opening of the nation’s borders in Oct. 13.
Hardwell will perform at Dajia Riverside Park in Taipei on Dec. 18, with tickets to go on sale Wednesday morning on KKTIX, the website said.
The event is a comeback performance for the DJ after a four-year hiatus.
Hardwell returned to performing in March, when 150,000 fans watched him in Miami, Florida.
He played in Taiwan for the first time in 2016, where tickets to see him DJ were sold out within three days.
His talents also drew the attention of Taiwan’s Queen of C-Pop Jolin Tsai (蔡依林), who sought out a collaboration five years ago and released the single “We Are One.”
The musician was also celebrated as a prodigy, being voted the world’s number one DJ by DJ Mag in 2013 at the age of 25, and then again in 2014.
Meanwhile, tixCraft announced that tickets for Mamamoo’s Jan. 14 concert will go on sale on its website at noon on Saturday.
Mamamoo will embark on their [MY CON] World Tour this Friday, with Seoul as their first stop.
The ladies will play at National Taiwan Sport University’s Multipurpose Gymnasium in Taoyuan’s Guishan District.
The South Korean girl group recently released their 12th EP “MIC ON,” which their world tour was named after.
