The survey was about the political role of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in the government of Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra. When asked about the public's opinion on the possibility of Paethongtarn governing the country without Thaksin, 59.01 percent of the sample said it was impossible, 15.42 percent said it was unlikely, 14.96 percent said it was somewhat possible, 9.77 percent said it was definitely possible, and 0.84 percent said no answer/not interested.As for the role that Thaksin Shinawatra should have in Ms. Paethongtarn's government, 37.79 percent of the sample said that he would not hold any position, would not be behind the scenes, but might give informal advice as father and son. 28.85 percent said that he would not hold any position, but would be behind the scenes to help or give advice on the administration of the country to Ms. Paethongtarn. 26.95 percent said that he would not hold any position, would not be behind the scenes, and would let Ms. Paethongtarn be independent in the administration of the country. 6.03 percent said that he would hold an official position to help or give advice on the administration of the country to Ms. Paethongtarn. 0.38 percent said no answer/not interested.When asked about the role of Mr. Thaksin in reality that the public will see in Ms. Paethongtarn's government, it was found that 39.39 percent of the sample said that he did not hold any position but was behind the scenes helping or giving advice to Ms. Paethongtarn in the administration of the country.
