Premier: no plans to reshuffle Cabinet
Premier Lin Chuan (??) said Tuesday that he has no plans to reshuffle the Cabinet.
He told legislators that the lineup of his Cabinet can be put up for review any time, but added that nothing needs to be changed so far.
The premier was speaking during a question-and-answer session at the Legislative Yuan, in response to a question by opposition Kuomintang Legislator Wang Hui-mei (???) regarding the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle.
Wang asked Lin whether Finance Minister Sheu Yu-jer (???) will also leave following the resignation of Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Ding Kung-wha (???) and whether there will be a Cabinet reshuffle if Sheu leaves.
On Monday, Lin approved the resignation of Ding, who is stepping down to assume responsibility for money-laundering allegations involving Mega Financial Holding Co.
Later that same day, the Cabinet decided to refer Ding and Sheu, as well as several of their predecessors, to the Control Yuan for investigation in connection with the case
