The Presidential Office received two suspicious parcels Friday and turned them over to a police bomb squad to be dismantled.
Presidential Office spokesman Alex Huang (???) said the packages were delivered at around 10 a.m. and put through X-ray machines.
The checks indicated that the parcels contained batteries, electric wires and circuit boards, and there also appeared to be metallic objects.
Huang said the parcels, which were sent through the post office, were turned over to a Criminal Investigation Bureau police squad according to standard safety procedures.
