Taipei--A local media report that the chairman of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest contract chip maker, was injured following a slip at a residence in Hawaii, is most probably a rumor, a spokeswoman for TSMC said Tuesday.
Local television network NextTV reported Tuesday that TSMC Chairman Morris Chang (???) was injured near his eye after taking a tumble by a swimming pool at a residence in Hawaii and is preparing to return to Taiwan for treatment.
In response, TSMC spokeswoman Elizabeth Sun (???) said she has yet to receive any information pertaining to the alleged incident, adding that it was likely just a rumor.
