South Korea is trying to figure out North Korea's intentions behind its disclosure of an uranium enrichment facility for the first time, a senior presidential official said Friday.The disclosure, made earlier in the day in the form of a state media report on leader Kim Jong-un's visit to the facility, has sparked concern that it could be a precursor to Pyongyang conducting what would be its seventh nuclear test."We're trying to figure out the North's intentions behind the disclosure while monitoring and analyzing the overall situation in North Korea," the official said. "The timing of a nuclear test can be different depending on the North Korean leadership's decision."The North is expected to weigh various factors, including the U.S. presidential election, in determining the timing of a nuclear test, the official said."With all possibilities in mind, South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities are closely tracking" the North, the official said.Source: Yonhap News Agency
