SEOUL, South Korean stocks traded higher late Tuesday morning on gains in tech, energy and other blue chips.The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index had risen 10.22 points, or 0.38 percent, to 2,670.06 as of 11:20 a.m.Tech shares gained traction, with Samsung Electronics rising 0.28 percent and No. 2 chipmaker SK hynix adding 0.12 percent. LG Electronics also gained 1.15 percent.Energy and chemical shares went up, with leading refiner SK Innovation and top chemical maker LG Chem climbing 1.43 percent and 3.10 percent, respectively.Battery-related shares also added momentum, with LG Energy Solution up 2.87 percent and POSCO Future M soaring 3.79 percent.The local currency was trading at 1,312.55 won against the U.S. dollar, down 2.25 won from the previous session's close.Source: Yonhap News Agency
