Showers forecast for Friday, warmer weather expected from Saturday
While north, northeast Taiwan and outlying island Matsu might continue to see showers on Friday, decreasing seasonal winds from the northeast could see temperatures rise island wide starting on Saturday, the Central Weather Bureau said.
Other parts of Taiwan can expect cloudy to sunny skies on Friday, forecasters said.
Daytime highs could range between 24-27 degrees in northern and eastern Taiwan, reaching as high as 29-30 degrees in central and southern areas, according to the bureau.
As seasonal winds weaken, maximum temperatures could rise more significantly on Saturday, reaching up to 28 degrees in northern Taiwan, 30 degrees in central areas and 31 degrees in the south, it said.
Warmer weather is likely in the days to come, with highs forecast to hit 30 degrees in northern Taiwan and 32 degrees in the south next Monday, the bureau said.
