Taipei--South Korean actor Jo Jung-seok, who starred in hit Korean television drama series "Jealousy Incarnate" last year, arrived in Taiwan on Saturday and is scheduled to meet with fans the next day.
Dressed in black, Jo was all smiles on arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, where a group of fans showed up to greet him.
On his fourth visit to Taiwan, the 36-year-old actor will meet with fans at NTU Sports Center on Sunday in Taipei. The event will be his first overseas fan meeting.
Born in 1980, Jo made his acting debut in a musical "The Nutcracker" in 2004.
His breakout role came in 2012, when he played a supporting role in Korean hit movie "Architecture 101." Over the years, he has also starred in TV dramas.
He is best known for his role as a chef in the drama "Oh My Ghostess" in 2015 and as a TV reporter and news anchor in "Jealousy Incarnate" in 2016, which was a hit in South Korea and across Asia.
Jo displayed his versatility in "Jealousy Incarnate," in which he played a star reporter and news anchor, who has a proud, competitive macho personality, and gets jealous as he develops feelings for a weather broadcaster, who accompanies him when he receives treatment for breast cancer.
In 2013 and 2014, he was appointed "tourism ambassador" by Taiwan's Tourism Bureau.
Jo is expected to wow his fans by singing, dancing and playing the guitar at the fan meeting on Sunday.
