Taipei: Mass gatherings and sitting on the ground will be banned at the hall in the Taipei Main Station to prevent the spread of COVID 19 coronavirus, the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) announced Saturday.
The ban will take effect from Saturday to April 30, the TRA said, adding that it will also stop leasing the hall as an event venue during the period.
There will be bulletins posted around the hall to notify visitors about the situation, with patrols and cleaning work carried out more frequently, it said.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced Saturday that five new cases of the COVID 19 coronavirus have been confirmed, bringing the total number of cases in Taiwan to 39.
