Taipei has emerged as the second-most popular destination after Osaka among South Koreans who plan to travel abroad during the Sept. 13-15 Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, according to a survey conducted by a South Korean travel agency.
Other destinations on the top 10 list include Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Singapore, Shanghai and Guam, the Hana Tour survey showed.
It found that compared with last year, 29 percent more South Koreans are planning to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday overseas this year.
While 40 percent of South Korean vacationers are planning to travel to Southeast Asia, 28 percent and 21 percent want to visit China and Japan, respectively.
