Taipei, Taiwanese athlete Chen Ching (??) won a bronze medal in the men's individual taekwondo poomsae competition at the 18th Asian Games on Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Chen finished third with 8.48 points after he was outscored by an Iranian competitor who gained 8.57 points.
Poomsae, a non-contact form of taekwondo, is performed by following systematic movements in sequence against an imaginary opponent or multiple opponents.
It consists of movements using the hands and feet to block, punch, strike, thrust and kick.
