The period of the New Year transport service for 2017 will start on Dec. 30 and end on Jan. 3, said the THSR, and that during the five- day period, there will be a total of 795 runs.
The extra runs will be made up of 46 southbound runs and 64 northbound, and that all discounts for early birds and non-reserved seats will remain valid for the duration, the THSR said.
In addition, preferential fare prices for college/university students and certain credit card holders will remain available during the holiday, although discounts for groups of more than 25 people, school field trips and non-peak rides will be suspended, according to the THSR.
