Taipei: Taiwan's Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a sea warning for Tropical Storm Danas at 8:30 a.m. Saturday as it continues to move toward the Taiwan Strait. The storm formed at 2 a.m. near the Pratas Islands in the South China Sea, having intensified from a tropical depression.According to Focus Taiwan, as of 8 a.m., Danas was located 410 kilometers west-southwest of Cape Eluanbi, Taiwan's southernmost tip, and was moving north-northeast at 8 kilometers per hour. The storm was carrying maximum sustained winds near its center of 65 kph, with gusts of up to 90 kph, data from the CWA showed.
