Taiwan Issues Tsunami Alert After Magnitude 7.4 Earthquake Hits Mindanao


Taipei: The Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a tsunami alert on Friday following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the southern Philippine island of Mindanao at 9:44 a.m.



According to Focus Taiwan, the agency received a notice from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, which assessed that the quake could pose a tsunami threat to the Pacific region. The CWA indicated that it will closely monitor the situation and provide updates as new information becomes available.
