Taiwan to Honor Baseball Team with Parade Following WBSC Premier12 Triumph.

Taipei: A parade to celebrate Taiwan's first victory in a senior international baseball tournament will be held on Ketagalan Boulevard on Tuesday, the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC) said in a statement issued Monday. This announcement comes in the wake of Taiwan's historic win at the World Baseball Softball Confederation's (WBSC) Premier12 Championship, where they defeated Japan 4-0, marking a significant achievement in Taiwanese baseball history.According to Focus Taiwan, the parade will commence at 3:20 p.m. from the intersection of Ketagalan Boulevard and Gongyuan Rd. It will proceed through Xiangyang Rd. and Taipei's "Canyon of Heroes" along Guanqian Rd., where paper flowers will be released as a tribute to the victorious team. The route will continue with a left turn to the south side of Sect. 1 of Zhongxiao West Rd., then shift left to Sec. 1 of Chongqing South Rd., culminating at the Presidential Office.At the conclusion of the parade, President Lai Ching-te and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim will personally greet the players and host a reception at the Presidential Office, as stated by the GACC. The celebration will feature eight tents distributed along the parade route, providing small "Team Taiwan" flags and national flags specifically for the event.
