Taipei: Daytime temperatures in Taiwan are set to rise significantly next week as the seasonal northeasterly winds begin to weaken starting Sunday, with northern Taiwan expected to experience highs of 29 degrees Celsius, and central and southern regions potentially exceeding 30 degrees.According to Focus Taiwan, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) reported that while Taiwan is currently experiencing unstable weather due to the influence of seasonal northeasterly winds, these winds are projected to diminish by Sunday. This change in wind patterns will lead to warmer temperatures across the island.The CWA has indicated that brief showers may still occur in Taoyuan and areas north of the city, as well as in eastern Taiwan and the Hengchun Peninsula in the south. However, most of Taiwan can expect partly cloudy to sunny skies beginning Sunday, with these conditions likely to persist throughout the following week. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 28-29 degrees in the north and up to 31 degrees in cent ral and southern low-lying areas.Although there's a possibility of a weather front arriving on Wednesday, its impact is expected to be minimal. The weather front may bring sporadic showers but is unlikely to affect daytime temperatures significantly. Despite the warmer days, the CWA warns of a substantial day-night temperature gap, with nighttime lows expected to drop to between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius across Taiwan.
