Ostrava: Taiwanese artists showcasing a mix of Indigenous, rock, and electronic music took center stage at the 2025 Czech Music Crossroads festival, which took place in the city of Ostrava from Thursday to Saturday. Taiwan was designated as the “Focus Country” at this year’s festival, highlighting performances from Taiwu Ballads Troupe, Dungi Sapor DJ, WOOONTA, and Musicians’ House.
According to Focus Taiwan, Taiwu Ballads Troupe collaborated with Amis DJ Dungi Sapor, blending “millennia-old songs of the Paiwan people” with progressive electronic music, creating a unique fusion of “digital beats with ancestral voices,” as described on the festival’s website. This innovative performance captivated the audience, showcasing the harmonious integration of traditional and modern music elements.
