Taipei-Taiwanese super model Lin Chi-ling (???) and Japanese boy band member Akira on Sunday held a traditional Taiwanese style wedding ceremony in the southern city of Tainan, with family members, close friends and hundred of fans present.
The 44-year-old Lin arrived at the venue, a traditional ancestral hall of the Wu Clan Association of Taiwan around 3 p.m., in a limited edition white Rolls Royce limo, with her father Lin Fan-nan (???).
The father and bride walked down a red carpet to the main hall of the venue before giving Lin's hand to 38-year-old Akira, born Ryohei Kurosawa.
The bride and groom were wearing a Ralph Lauren tailored-made wedding dress and suit, as they exchanged vows.
In his vows, Akira thanked Lin for marrying him and promised to make her the happiest woman in the world.
In her vows, a tearful Lin thanked Akira for making her "believe in love" and pledged that the two would stay together for better or worse into old age.
A joint letter issued by the couple later explained that the location was chosen because Lin's mother Wu Tzu-mei (???) lived near the ancestral hall and Lin and her cousins used to play in the hall.
Both of Lin's parents were born and raised in Tainan so the couple decided to hold their wedding ceremony in the southern city, the letter said.
Following the ceremony, a wedding banquet was to be held at Tainan Art Museum Building 1 around 6 p.m. before an after-party at a nearby hotel.
Lin and Akira have known each other for eight years and started dating at the end of 2018. The couple jointly announced in June that they registered their marriage in Tokyo after doing the same in Taiwan on June 6.
