Taiwanese Twins Triumph at BWF Swiss Open, Clinching Men’s Doubles Title

Basel: Taiwan's twin brothers Lee Fang-jen and Lee Fang-chih emerged victorious at the BWF Super 300 Swiss Open, securing the men's badminton doubles title after defeating Denmark's Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard with scores of 21-18, 21-13.

According to Focus Taiwan, the twins initially trailed 4-7 in the first set but quickly regained their composure, taking the lead and maintaining a two-point advantage to close out the set 21-18. In the second set, they surged ahead with a 5-1 lead. Despite a few errors that allowed their opponents to narrow the gap, the brothers responded with a decisive six-point streak, ultimately securing their first title of the year.

This victory marks a significant achievement for the Lee brothers, who previously clinched their first BWF Super 300 men's doubles title at the BWF Canada Open last year. Before their win in Basel, they had reached the semifinals seven times in Super 300-level tournaments, advancing to the final three times, with their only title victory being at the Canadian Open.
