Liverpool: Taiwan’s Huang Hsiao-wen has secured her place in the finals of the World Boxing Championships. She is set to face Yoseline Perez from the United States at noon on Sunday in Liverpool.
According to Focus Taiwan, Huang previously earned a bronze medal in the flyweight category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The World Boxing Championships, currently underway, marks the inaugural edition organized by the newly established World Boxing body, which has received provisional recognition from the International Olympic Committee. This year’s championship sees participation from over 540 athletes representing 66 national federations.
