Taiwan's military has firm command of any activity carried out by China's People's Liberation Army near Taiwan and is monitoring its movements closely, MND spokesman Chen Chungchi said.
According to local media reports, the PLA's sixday livefire exercises began Sunday and will take place off the coast of Zhejiang Province in the East China Sea until Friday.
