The Railway Police Bureau said on Friday that manpower and patrols have been increased along Taiwan’s high-speed railway, after the operator received an email about bomb threats.
Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. confirmed Friday evening that it had received the threat and said it has reported it to the police and relevant authorities, but did not elaborate on the details, such as time and location.
The company said it is following its protocol for such incidents, and has increased patrols on its platforms to every 30 minutes, as well as checking the identification of people working in the stations.
