This 5.9-difficulty routine does not include any new elements, so it's kind of conservative. [But] this is just my first tournament in the new Olympic cycle, so I want to adjust myself first." This event marks Tang's return to competition since the Paris Games in August 2024.Despite his success, Tang admitted feeling some nervousness, saying, "I haven't competed fo r a while, so I did feel a bit nervous before performing. But I found that old feeling again once I started the routine." Prior to the competition, Tang had announced his intention to introduce new elements and seek official recognition from the International Gymnastics Federation. However, he disclosed that this plan might be postponed as he continues to consult with the judges on the matter.
