Teresa Lu (???) of Taiwan failed to retain the 2016 Fujitsu Ladies golf championship title on Sunday, with the event being won by Ayaka Matsumori of Japan.
Lu was tied in sixth place with a three round total of 213, which, despite being 3-under-par, was well behind Matsumori who finished with a total of 204.
Lu carded 75, 67 and 71, in the three rounds of the tournament.
In the final round on Sunday, she hit 5 birdies and 4 bogies.
In last year's tournament, Lu maintained her lead from the beginning and finished with a 13-under-par 203 to take her fifth title of the season.
That was the best single-season of her career, winning the Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament, Resort Trust Ladies, NEC Karuizawa 72 and Japan LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup.
The Fujitsu Ladies is an annual golf tournament for professional female golfers on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) of Japan Tour.
