Taipei-Traffic controls will be put in place for the closing ceremony of the Taipei Summer Universiade at Taipei Municipal Stadium on Wednesday, a Taipei City official said Monday.
Some roads around the stadium will be closed between 3 p.m. and midnight, including Beining Road and the northbound slow lane on Dunhua North Road, said Chang Jer-yang (???), head of the city's Department of Transportation.
He said that except for city buses, traffic will not be allowed on the northbound lane on Dunhua South Road on the section between Bade Road and Civic Boulevard.
The sections of Bade and Nanjing East roads between Dunhua and Beining roads will be closed to all traffic except for exclusive Universiade vehicles, Chang said at press conference.
In the immediate areas around the stadium, roadside parking will not be allowed and vehicles already parked there will not be permitted to pull out, he said.
Also during the 9-hour period from 3 p.m., city buses will not stop at the TTV and Taipei Sports Stadium bus stops, Chang said.
He said service at the YouBike stations at Taipei Municipal Social Education Hall and Taipei Stadium will be suspended between Wednesday noon and midnight.
