Taipei, EVA Airways said Wednesday a Vietnamese American passenger passed out on a flight from Taoyuan to Houston two days ago and later displayed no vital signs. The passenger was pronounced dead by a doctor in Houston.
The airline said the passenger fell unconscious on a BR52 flight and was unresponsive even after a physician passenger tried to revive him.
The 14-hour flight arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston at 11:30 p.m. on July 30, 20 minutes late, according to FlightAware.
ABC News reported that the Houston police later confirmed the death of the passenger but there are no further details as to the cause of death.
