The circus troupe Viva Le Cirque! is ready to take Taiwan by storm in February 2023 with five circus shows in Taipei, promoter KHAM Ticket said in a statement Monday.
The troupe will dazzle audiences with its skills and spirit during its five shows at Taipei Arena from Feb. 3 to 5, the statement said.
“We are all running on adrenaline and happiness! We know that COVID was contagious but you know what else is contagious? … Happiness and love,” said troupe creator and director Fernando Quevedo on the troupe’s website, expressing the group’s desire for post-pandemic physical reunions with audiences.
According to the statement, the shows put on by Viva Le Cirque! are family events consisting of diverse elements, including drama, juggling, and acrobatic moves, along with a few clowns to bring audiences some laughs.
In addition to traditional circus tricks, Viva Le Cirque! challenges how people imagine the circus experience by adding laser programming to its show, KHAM Ticket said.
Added to that are some of the most talented circus performers in the world, the statement said, including Gabriel Estrada, the Costa Rican juggler who won the International Jugglers’ Association’s Regional Competition in 2015.
Other performers include the Malevo Argentinian Gaucho Act that performed on America’s Got Talent, and performing artists from Cirque du Soleil and other renowned troupes, the statement said.
Tickets to the shows will go on sale at noon on Oct. 25 on the KHAM Ticket platform and at the Hi-Life and OK Mart convenience stores.
