Taipei, The weather in Taiwan will remain warm Monday but rain is expected in the afternoon as a moist front arrives, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
In particular, heavy rainfall is expected in the north and mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan, the bureau said.
Daytime highs on Monday are forecast to be 28-31 degrees Celsius around the country, it added.
However, strengthening northeasterly winds will send daytime temperatures falling to 19 degrees in northern Taiwan on Tuesday, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 15-16 degrees, according to the CWB.
A new moist front will bring significant rainfall on Thursday, before a continental cold air mass arrives on Friday. Weekend temperatures are expected to fall to as low as 11-13 degrees in northern, central and northeastern Taiwan and 15-16 degrees in southern and eastern areas, the bureau said.
