Taipei: The warm weather in Taiwan, which has persisted over the past two days, continued on Saturday with daytime highs expected to reach up to 29 degrees Celsius in the western region of the island. This temperature surge is attributed to southeasterly winds, as reported by the Central Weather Administration (CWA).According to Focus Taiwan, the CWA has forecasted partly cloudy to sunny skies for most parts of Taiwan throughout the day. However, the eastern counties of Hualien and Taitung might experience sporadic showers. Independent meteorologist Wu Der-rong indicated that the warm weather trend is likely to persist until Monday, with temperatures potentially exceeding 30 degrees Celsius across Taiwan. Despite the daytime warmth, there will be a significant temperature difference between day and night. In a contrasting weather development, a cold air system is anticipated to descend upon Taiwan starting Tuesday, which is expected to lower temperatures to below 14 degrees Celsius. Wu predicts that Taiwan will experience the full impact of this cold air system, bringing some rainfall from March 5 to March 9. During this period, Taipei might see temperatures dip to lows of 14-15 degrees Celsius, while some low-lying areas could experience temperatures dropping to as low as 10 degrees Celsius.
