The weather across Taiwan will remain stable until Friday, when a front is expected to pass over the island and bring rain to some areas over the weekend, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast Monday.
Temperatures will hover around 21-24 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday, and daytime highs could rise to 27 degrees on Thursday and Friday before a front approaches and dumps rain on some parts of the island on Saturday, CWB forecaster Chao Hung (??) told CNA.
On Saturday, rain will fall in the northern, central, and northeastern parts of Taiwan and mountainous areas in the south, while other areas will experience sunny or cloudy skies, Chao said.
From Nov. 8 to 10, the weather will become cooler as a result of strengthening northeasterly winds, he said, with temperatures forecast to dip to 16-18 degrees in northern Taiwan on Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will then gradually climb higher on Nov. 11, he said.
