SEOUL, South Korean game publisher Wemade Co. said Tuesday it has officially launched its massively multiplayer online role playing game title, Night Crows, in 170 countries around the world in nine languages, including English and Japanese.Night Crows, which was first released in South Korea last year, hit No. 1 in sales in major mobile application markets, including Google Play and Apple App Store, according to Wemade.In the global version, the game newly adopted blockchain and tokenomics technologies to provide non-fungible token characters, which players can trade using tokens connected to Wemade's blockchain ecosystem, Wemix 3.0.The global title will not be available in South Korea and China, where blockchain games are prohibited, the company explained."The global success of Night Crows will foster the growth and energy of Wemix's main net, as well as that of Wemix Play," Wemade CEO Chang Hyun-guk said.Wemix Play is a blockchain gaming platform that supports the Web3 transformation of games an d aims to connect economic activities both in the games and reality.Source: Yonhap News Agency
