WUHAN VIRUS / State-run TTL to offer spray alcohol hand sanitizer
Taipei, Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corp. (TTL) announced Monday that spray alcohol hand sanitizers will be made available for sale in 135 of its stores nationwide from Thursday.
The sanitizers will be sold in 60ml and 500ml, at a cost of NT$50-NT$100 per bottle, with each customer limited to one per purchase, the company said.
The larger version of the spray is suitable for family use and will be sold from Thursday, TTL said, noting that its pocket-sized version will not be made available in its stores at first, as the first few batches will go to hospitals to be issued to medical workers.
According to the state-run company, it expects to have a daily output of 120,000 for each of the two different-sized sanitizers.
Since Feb. 24, TTL has been selling 75 percent alcohol hand sanitizers in 300ml and 600ml glass bottles at convenience stores across the country.
More than 5 million bottles have been sold since their introduction, it said.
